Terms of Service

Erdos is made available to authorized organizations and their users. You must be at least 18 years old and authorized by an organization we have granted access. We may limit, suspend, or revoke access at any time. You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for activity that occurs under your account.

Erdos is an informational and research tool that helps you work over public records and your organization's own content, producing cited, reviewable work products. Erdos informs human judgment. It takes no action — sending, publishing, or filing — except at your explicit direction and approval.

You and your organization retain ownership of the content you add to Erdos. You grant us a limited license to host, process, and display that content solely to provide and improve the service for you. You are responsible for ensuring you have the rights to the content you add and that your use of Erdos complies with applicable law.

You agree not to use Erdos to:

• violate any law or infringe anyone's rights;
• harass, endanger, intimidate, or unlawfully surveil any individual;
• violate campaign-finance, coordination, privacy, publication, or data-source rules that apply to your work;
• attempt to breach security, access another organization's workspace, or circumvent access controls;
• present Erdos outputs as verified fact without independent human review; or
• resell, scrape, or systematically extract the service.

Erdos uses AI and automated processing. Its outputs may be incomplete, inaccurate, or out of date and must be independently verified by a qualified person before you rely on, publish, file, or act on them.

Erdos does not provide legal, compliance, financial, campaign-finance, or other professional advice, and nothing in the product is a substitute for the judgment of qualified professionals. You are solely responsible for reviewing outputs and for complying with all laws and rules that apply to your work — including campaign-finance, coordination, publication, and privacy rules.

Erdos surfaces information from public and third-party sources. Those sources may impose their own restrictions on how their information may be used, including limits on the commercial use of certain records. You are responsible for complying with any restrictions that apply to how you use information obtained through the service.

We may add, change, suspend, or discontinue features at any time. We may also update these Terms; when we make material changes we will update the date above. Your continued use of Erdos after an update means you accept the revised Terms.

Erdos is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and any warranty as to the accuracy, completeness, or availability of the service or its outputs, to the fullest extent permitted by law.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Erdos and its affiliates will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising out of or relating to your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service will not exceed the greater of the amounts your organization paid us for the service in the twelve months before the claim or one hundred U.S. dollars.

You agree to indemnify and hold Erdos harmless from claims, losses, and expenses arising out of your content, your use of the service, or your violation of these Terms or applicable law, to the extent permitted by law.

You or your organization may stop using Erdos at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or to protect the service or its users. Sections that by their nature should survive termination — including content ownership, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and indemnification — will survive.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. You agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in the State of Delaware for any dispute that is not otherwise resolved.
